The constant movement and pulling of expressions with our eyes (which happens hundreds of times a day!), commonly leads to the creation of what is known as "crows' feet" around the corners of our eyes. The hazards of modern day life, especially long hours spent squinting at computer screens or time spent in the bright Australian sun, only adds to the problem.
Injectable Muscle Relaxants - Crows' feet can be quickly, easily and effectively treated with Injectable Muscle Relaxants - with a single treatment lasting between three and five months. The treatment itself is generally over in fifteen minutes, and does not require recovery time. In fact, many of our clients pop in during their lunch break, returning to work straight away.
Injectable Dermal Fillers - In some cases, repeated movement around the eye area will have caused deep static lines to have formed (lines visible when the face is at rest), in these cases the Injectable Muscle Relaxant treatment is supplemented with a very light Injectable Dermal Filler which plumps the skin erasing deep lines, resulting in a perfect smoothness around the eye area
We use the muscles in our forehead to create hundreds of expressions everyday. These repeated facial expressions (or muscle movements) eventually cause the skin to fold and wrinkle, resulting in horizontal lines running across our forehead and vertical lines between our brow. As we age, these lines (frown or worry lines) are quite often very prominent.
Injectable Muscle Relaxants - The optimum solution is the use of an Injectable Muscle Relaxant, which works to minimise muscle movement in the forehead, which results in the smoothing away of lines across the forehead and between the brows. As little as 2-3 treatments a year are required.
Injectable Dermal Fillers - For deeper lines which are visible when the face is at rest (static lines), the Injectable Muscle Relaxant can be supplemented with an Injectable Dermal Filler. The Dermal Filler plumps the skin, filling in static forehead creases to create a fresh youthful appearance.
Two of the most common problems that occur around the mouth area, are the fine lines (feather lines) that run directly out from the top and bottom lip, and deep smile lines (marionette lines) which form at either side of the mouth.
Feather Lines - Feather lines are easily treated by Dr Bakaric by the use of very fine Injectable Dermal Filler, which plumps the skin, filling in the fine static lines to leave a smooth finish around the mouth.
Marionette Lines - Marionette lines are treated in two steps to leave a smooth appearance. A muscle relaxant to ease excessive wrinkle forming movement and dermal filler to raise deep static lines creating a smooth finish.
As we age, our lips lose their youthful fullness and defined shape. Optimum lip definition and lip plumpness can be restored with the use of Injectable Dermal Fillers, restoring vitality to the whole face.
Injectable Dermal Fillers - are used in two ways to restore a natural, full and youthful look to the lip.
1. Small amounts of Dermal Filler is injected along the top and bottom lip line (vermillion border) to define the shape of the lip.
2. Dermal Filler is then injected into the main body of the lip to restore it to its natural plump (kissable!) look. A single treatment lasts on average five months.
Laser resurfacing is a skin treatment that uses lasers, intense pulsed light, or photodynamic therapy to treat skin conditions and remove effects of photoaging such as wrinkles, spots, and textures. The process induces controlled wounds on the skin, prompting it to heal itself by creating new cells
Often caused by muscle movement, as we age we develop a crease between our lower lip and chin. This can also be due to scarring from acne or trauma. We unconsciously contract those muscles and it's almost impossible to will our muscles to relax - so a muscle relaxer does the work for us and a filler reduces lines and creases and smooths out the chin area.
Combination - smooths out the chin area to restore a natural, full and youthful look below the lower lip.
1. Injectable muscle relaxants arrest any excessive wrinkle causing movement.
2. Injectable dermal fillers might be used to correct volume loss (specifically on the sides of the chin and directly under the lip).
Bunny lines are the fine lines along the bridge of the nose, which are the result of squinting and the wrinkling of our noses. Naso-labial folds, which are the often quite prominent, are the ridges or edges that appear from the base of the nose, and run out to the angle of the mouth.
Combination - a combination of both is the best way to treat these age lines and folds.
1 - Injectable Muscle Relaxants to arrest excessive wrinkle causing movement.
2 - Injectable Dermal Filler to plump out static lines (lines present when the face is at rest) leaving a smooth and fresh appearance.
Scarring on the face caused by acne, genetic abnormality or other trauma, is an annoying and unwanted feature. It can play on our confidence, and even stop us from leading a full and joyful social life that we would all like to have. Such scarring can be easily and effectively treated via a number of methods offered at The Collagen Face Centre.
Treatment Dermal Filler - is injected under the skin to "stretch" and "fill out" certain types of superficial and deep soft scars to give a smooth finish.
Laser/IPL Treatment - Lasers of various wavelength and intensity are used to re- contour scar tissue and reduce the redness of skin around healed acne lesions. The type of laser used is determined by the results that the laser treatment aims to accomplish. In some cases, a single treatment is all that will be necessary to achieve permanent results.
Collagen stimulators are injectable treatments that gradually and subtly add volume to your face by stimulating the growth of collagen. Collagen stimulators paired with the right skincare products can help you maintain a more youthful appearance for many years to come.
Dermal Fillers are injected into the skin in tiny amounts – using an ultra fine needle. Dr.Bakaric may massage your skin gently to optimize contouring of the gel. This treatment works in 2 ways: once injected into the “mid to deep dermis” (middle layer of skin), the dermal filler gel adds volume and fullness which smoothes out facial wrinkles and folds. Then, the gel integrates into dermal tissue, attracts and binds to water molecules and helps to maintain volume. Injectable Dermal Filler is made from the body’s own material – “hyaluronic acid or collagen” and provide instantaneous, long-lasting natural enhancement.
The Muscle Relaxant Injections cause the injected muscles to “relax” so that they no longer contract (squeezing out tiny amounts of precious collagen and hyaluronic acid) and cause lines and wrinkles to form. Muscle relaxant injections also block nerve impulses from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that are directly related to expression lines. After treatment, the skin overlying the treated area becomes smooth and unwrinkled. The muscles that went untreated contract as usual and leave normal facial expressions unaffected.
Radio Frequency Microneedling adds a significant element to traditional needling treatments. The RF is delivered via 24 or 64 pin sterile needles delivering RF energy deep into the dermis further enhancing skin tightening, reducing laxity and scaring.
Because the RF is delivered so deeply it takes skin tightening to a new level, producing faster and more dramatic results. Redness lasts from 2 - 12 hrs post treatment. Some treatments are worth being a little pink for!
A chemical peel is a technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin. Facial skin is mostly treated, and scarring can be improved. Chemical peels are intended to remove the outermost layers of the skin. To accomplish this task, the chosen peel solution induces a controlled injury to the skin.
Healite ll™ can be used pre and post all surgical and nonsurgical treatments for enhanced recovery. Low-level light therapy (LLLT) with HEALITE II is the therapeutic use of incident light to photomodulate cellular function, relieving pain and stiffness in muscle joints. HEALITE II harnesses the properties of 830nm light (when you look at a rainbow this is the yellow refection) via light emitting diode (LED) technology, properly delivered and concentrated, treating effectively without possibility of physical trauma or thermal damage to the skin. Cosmedical Clinic recommends LLLT with HEALITE II therapy after all surgical and non-surgical procedures to:
✓ Encourage wound and cellular healing
✓ Pain Management
✓ Increases blood flow to the wound
✓ Decreases the risk of bruising
